I John 4:7-10

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love coMes from god.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Whoever does not love does not know god for God is love.
This is how God showed his love among us; he sent his one and only
Son into the world that we might live through him.
This is love- not that we loved God but He loved us
And sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for sins.

Calvin: When he commands us to love, he is not talking
About just loving our friends- because they love us.
He was talking about mutual love in the fellowship
No one can prove they are a child of God unless they
Love their neighbors. The true knowledge of God
Produces love in us.

Thoughts- God's love comes to us when we did nothing
To deserve it and everything to keep him away.
God is the ultimate missionary coming into the world,
Accomodating himself to us. We are all missipnaries
